Join singer/ songwriter of the international hit, You Are Not Alone Meredith O'Connor, Billboard's World Albums Afropop artist Reekado Banks, and Psychiatrist and founder of the MINDS foundation Dr. Raghu Appasani for a conversation on mental health awareness across cultures. In this panel we will discuss why it is important to be an advocate in the music industry, and how each panelist uses their platform to create change in the mental health space.

Meredith O'Connor is recognized as iconic for her anti-bullying activism, and through her music success has spearheaded a partnership with The National Alliance on Mental Illness, uniting some of the most prominent names Kpop, Afropop, and other recording artists from all different parts of the world.

Dr. Raghu Kiran Appasani is a Psychiatrist, Neuroscientist, Mental Health Advocate, and Social Entrepreneur focused on bridging the gap between western and eastern practices to create a wholesome society. He is also the Founder & CEO of the mental health nonprofit, The MINDS Foundation.

Reekado Banks is one of the biggest names in Afropop. He is regarded as one of Africa’s most consistent hitmakers and has collaborated with pop star Wizkid, East African songstress, Vanessa Mdee, rapper Ycee and many more. Reekado Banks released his 21-track debut album, SPOTLIGHT which placed 10th on Billboard's 2016 World Albums Chart, and earned a Headies Award for Best Album of the Year.
